Common Challenges
You're not alone in this
These are some of the most common things Latinas come to me with. If any of these sound familiar, we should talk.

Even surrounded by people, you feel deeply alone — like no one truly gets it.
→ Build deeper connections, starting with yourself.
💔
Relationship Challenges
Conflict, communication struggles, and emotional shutdowns are taking a toll.
→ Show up more honestly and skillfully with the people you love.

Anger, Trauma & Grief
Old pain shows up as anger, numbness, or a heaviness you can't shake.
→ Work through what's been held inside to feel more free and alive.

About Betty
A therapist who gets it — because she's lived it
If you're here, it probably means you've been holding a lot for a long time. On the outside, you look "fine." You show up for work, for family, for everyone — but inside, you're tired.
I'm Betty Lopez, a Licensed Professional Counselor and first-gen Mexican-American therapist who specializes in helping Latinas navigate anxiety, burnout, family expectations, and the pressure of living between two cultures.
My style is warm, direct, and very real. I'll celebrate your wins, challenge the lies anxiety tells you, and help you feel more in control — not just in sessions, but in the middle of your actual week.
Betty has been amazing and incredibly helpful in my therapy journey. I am noticing positive changes within myself and Betty has been a big part of this for me. She listens and helps me see challenges in ways I may not have known how to navigate otherwise. I feel validated and I'm learning how to change the way I think.

FAQ
Got questions? I've got answers.
What if I've never been to therapy before? +
That's completely okay. Many people start without knowing what to expect. My job is to guide you through the process, help you feel comfortable, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Do you offer online sessions? +
Yes. I offer secure, confidential online therapy so you can meet from the comfort of your own space — no commute, no hassle. Many clients find this just as effective as in-person sessions.
Is everything we talk about confidential? +
Yes. Everything you share is kept private and confidential. The only exceptions are rare situations required by law — such as a risk of harm to yourself or others. I'll always explain these limits clearly.
How long will therapy take? +
It depends on what you're working through. Some people come for a few months for a specific issue, while others stay longer for deeper work. We'll check in regularly to make sure therapy is moving you forward.
Can I do therapy in Spanish? +
Yes! I speak English and Spanish. My parents are Mexican, so my Spanish comes from how they raised me. It's not perfect — but neither is my English. And that's part of what makes this space feel real.
Ready to put some of it down?
You've already done the hardest part — recognizing that you deserve support. Let's talk about what's possible.
